Prince Andrew was photographed with his arm around Virginia Giuffre when she was 17. The photo was taken in Maxwell's London apartment. He claimed no recollection of meeting her.

Flight logs place him on Epstein's plane. Multiple witnesses corroborate his presence at Epstein properties. His denials grew increasingly implausible.

In the BBC interview, he claimed he couldn't sweat due to a medical condition - contradicting photos of him visibly perspiring. He said he was at a Pizza Express on the night in question.

Giuffre sued him in civil court. Rather than face trial, he settled for an estimated $12-16 million in February 2022. The settlement stated he "never intended to malign her character."

He was stripped of royal patronages and military titles. Yet faced no criminal prosecution. British and American authorities declined to pursue charges.

A settlement is not an admission of guilt, legally. But paying millions to make allegations go away, for an innocent person, seems an unusual choice.
