Little St. James is a private island in the US Virgin Islands purchased by Jeffrey Epstein in 1998. The island became central to allegations of sexual abuse, with multiple victims testifying about events that occurred there.
Epstein also owned neighboring Great St. James island, purchased in 2016. Both islands were frequently visited by his private aircraft and yacht.

The blue and white striped structure on the island, nicknamed "the temple," has been the subject of intense speculation. Officially described as a music room or gym.
Drone footage showed the structure had a large wooden door and gold dome. Witnesses testified the interior contained a mattress and photographs. The structure was damaged by Hurricane Irma (2017) and subsequently modified before the FBI raid in August 2019.

The FBI executed a search warrant on Little St. James on August 12, 2019, two days after Epstein's death. Agents seized computers, hard drives, photographs, and other evidence.
Witnesses reported seeing construction crews on the island in the weeks before the raid. A backhoe was observed near the temple, leading to speculation that evidence was being destroyed or buried.
